Who can register for access to the LSUC Portal?

The LSUC Portal is for lawyers and paralegals currently licensed by the Law Society of Upper Canada. It is a secure environment in which to submit changes to your status or contact information, file your annual report, make fee related payments, submit your Continuing Professional Development Hours, and receive important information specific to the professions.

How can I access the LSUC Portal?

To access the LSUC Portal, you must first register. This will only take a few minutes to complete. After successfully registering you must activate your account. The activation process is outlined in an email that is sent to you immediately following registration.

Why do I need to supply the information requested?

Your information will be authenticated against the information we have on file to verify your identity.

Year Obtained Licence

For lawyers, "Year Obtained Licence" is the four digit year you were called to the Bar in Ontario. For paralegals, this is the four digit year in which you were issued your P1 licence to provide legal services in Ontario.

Email Address
You must have a unique, valid email address on file with the Law Society in order to register. (Note  please ensure you update your email in the Change of Information tab if the changes.)

What if I don't have an LLB?

This question applies only to lawyers. If you are a lawyer, you should select the institution from which you received your LLB or equivalent. If your institution is not listed, please select from one of the following categories:

  • Other - Ontario
  • Other - Inside Canada (not Ontario)
  • Other - Outside Canada
